DOCA-Salt Hypertension Model of Diastolic Dysfunction
The DOCA-salt model is a hypertension-driven model used to study cardiac remodeling, vascular dysfunction, renal injury, fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction.

Following uninephrectomy, deoxycorticosterone acetate administration, and high-salt diet, animals develop sustained hypertension with cardiovascular and renal target-organ effects.

IPS Therapeutique uses this model to evaluate therapies targeting hypertension, cardiac stiffness, diastolic dysfunction, fibrosis, renal injury, and HFpEF-relevant pathophysiology.
