Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension

  • Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) affects about 3–4% of patients after a pulmonary embolism. It leads to persistent obstruction of pulmonary arteries and progressive pulmonary hypertension. Some patients develop CTEPH without any known history of acute PE.
