Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)

  • Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a rapid decline in renal function that can lead to serious complications, including chronic kidney disease and increased mortality. The ischemia–reperfusion (I/R) model is a widely used preclinical approach to replicate the transient loss and restoration of renal blood flow seen in surgical, septic, or shock-related AKI.
